Scroll down to see the ancient Greek forms created by the artists in 7th grade. These artists used to coil technique to build up the forms. Several scored and slipped handles to attach to those forms. The hand built forms were fired in the kiln once (the bisque firing) and then glazed by the artists. The glaze gives the clay forms color, makes them nonporous, and gives them strength. After being glazed, the forms were fired a second time (the glaze firing).
