The 7th Grade artists made these colorful pieces using the coil method and porcelain clay. After constructing the forms which were based on ancient Greek pottery, the pieces were allowed to dry out and were fired in a kiln. After the first (bisque) firing, these artists glazed their pieces to make them colorful, strong, and nonporous. The pieces were then fired a second time in a kiln.
