Illuminated Manuscript Pages

For these pieces, the artists wrote a poem and developed designs to go with those poems. Building on the tradition of illuminated manuscript pages, which were popular in Europe during the Middle Ages, these artists worked with initials, miniatures, and interlace designs for their pieces and wrote in a calligraphic script.
